HAPPY NEW YEAR! A BLOG OF SHARING
Hello fans, friends and family!
I'd like to wish you all a happy and successful New Year. I am pushing to truly get this album completed this year. I have a person that can master mix the album which will give a cohesiveness to the sound quality needed.
Politics and social awareness has been a point of conversation here in the US. Our country is evolving as all the world. I have always said, as an Urban Shaman, I encourage all of you to look within. To spend time with your self brings you closer to your true essence. There is the knowing we are all one connected in a beautiful dance of perfection. Lately, what I listed below has been a wonderful practice that is transforming in a stronger sense of self and dealing with the outside world/environment/interaction with other people. The first is a great meditation to strengthen the connection to our true selves, Isha Kriya Meditation. The second is a link to a practice that connects us to the solar/sun energy within our own being. Both our located in Norwalk, Ca. I enjoy the meditation and look forward to the Surya Kriya workshop, so I thought I'd share this with you too!
I am counting on us as humans, this year, wanting more then our technology and just text messaging. I look forward to conversations, laughter and fun and with being with other people too.
I am considering, also, doing some Jazz gigs, as I have sung Jazz quite a bit. I have a band of fresh musicians in mind. So, I'll keep you posted on that! Well, that's all for now.
ONE LOVE AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS TO ALL OF YOU!

Isha Kriya is a powerful practice that aligns your mind, body, and inner-energies to easily and naturally become meditative. Once meditative, your experience of the life within you and the world around you becomes much deeper and richer. Daily activity becomes effortless and joyful.
Benefits of regular practice include improving health, energy and vitality; enhancing mental focus, memory and clarity; reducing stress and establishing a deep sense of peace and inner balance.
Isha Kriya is a gentle, seated practice, which can be practiced in a chair. No previous meditation experience is necessary. Isha Kriya is open to ages 12 and over.
We look forward to seeing you at the event.
Call us at 949.345.1746 or email us at orangecounty@IshaUSA.org if you have any questions. Hope to see you on Saturday!

BEAUTIFUL THOUGHTS
Sense perception is a lasting memory of gifts to hold,
Inside the greatness of how our mind contains.
It's told,
In words, images, music, love
and pain.
To choose to push our suffering out
in the pouring rain,
Is possible with a clear intent
Of beautiful thoughts meant
To all living things
And the greatness life brings.

Hi Everyone. Hoping you all are well and happy. The time of giving is coming along with the Winter Solstice. It is always a good time to look deep within ones self. We are feeling more and more the need to be ONE. There are many situations socially that are being addressed more than ever. People want healthy foods, nonviolence and to be treated fairly. The change is for the better, yet the media, of subjective news, wants to paint a different picture. Unnecessary fear, distrust and instability is what they often cover in the news. There is enough information to get a much more rounded point of view of worthy news. Things that are good, progressive and that bring happiness are so much better to hear about.

Description of the poem
I wrote this poem because it is a great intention I am working on. I have returned to the discipline of my yoga practice, I had done for over 15 years. I walked away from it for some time because I was sad about seeing how much materialist desire for wealth had resulted from yoga coming to the west. I have been back to meditating and practicing yoga everyday for the last two months. My yoga practice is traditional. I keep in mind that Yoga means union. I was reminded of this by a dear friend that sent me a youtube of Sadhguru. I love his teachings. Sadhguru is a Yogi of tradition and giver to humanity. He has many talks on youtube. He has over two million volunteers helping with the various organizations he as formed and speaks internationally on shows and forums.

News on my up and coming album
I am still working with one of my producers, Jawge Hughes, on one of the last songs for the album, 'Circles of Life' vocal mix. So, it is still reaching it's final date. I want it as perfect as possible for my fans and friends!

LA CAt Experience Newsletter 11.2015
First of all, thank you for taking the time to read my newsletter. For those fans that have been following me for over these 10 years n plus, I give a special thanks and much happiness to all of you.
During the making of this album my whole life flip flopped. I have been driving from a 3000 mile high mountain to the ocean, then back again, twice a week, totaling 200 miles, for the past 3 years. My spirit's inter-dimensional world, co-existing with this physical body, has been growing stronger in awareness. When one is uprooted from a physical foundation this can happen.
Lately, I have questioned myself and the value of art and artistry I offer in today's world of speed, animation, illusions and trends. I wonder of my place in this world now and me as an artist. I am original. No speedin around, cause I'm a cruiser, no animation as I'm a abstract and realist, with inner fantasy and I am just me, no trends. But some of my friends, I rank as higher aware beings, tell me I must create because it is what I do. They love me and respect what I have to offer to life. I know you fans are also in sync with me because we share a common feeling inside one another. So I am working, finishing and completing this project.
Lately, I watch...I watch how warm the Pacific ocean and is effecting our planet, the beauty of a new energy, here on earth and the cosmos, the illusions of truth people believe with the toys of technology, the intense drugs offered and taken by so many, the search for the balance by everyone in every way and always trying to help out the living beings on our planet, the best I can.
My greatest joy has been watching and being a part of a little filly horse life, Vainilla. She came as a animal spirit at the time of the passing of my dear animal spirit friend, Coocie, 18 years of friendship and loyalty. I never imagined a horse being in my life and she is beautiful. When I toured Asia in the 90s, there were some band problems I was running into at times and it was stressful. I would dream the same dream when I was touring. In the dream, I was riding a white horse and it would fly me into the sky. When she was born, my spirit realized it was her. I told her, "we know eachother". She looked at me deeply understanding exactly what I said. This look she gave me confirmed it was true.
We were eternal beings looking at eachother, I was not a person and she was not a horse. We were just energy....
As we all are truly just energy. These bodies are gifts from mother earth and one day will return to her. Life is a blessing. Thank you for being in mine. Thank you for reading my words.

AN ARTIST QUESTION
When the night brings rain like this aching pain
I look but do not do
It’s like my mouth is stitched and my hands can’t move
To dance I see no moves
What has come of me when my soul feels tied to the denial of this world
of man made things and phony dreams that clothes and skin define
WORTH.
I have had people stand in my face to grab yogurt off the shelf.
when I smile at them, they act as if I am not there
maybe I should have kissed them on their face
But my heart is heavy looking at this world that has no soul
when spirit is what we are
When their baby's smile at me and I say how cute
and they are strolled away
Again... as if
I don’t exist
Yes the division is here where those that fear
Live in fear with each other so it appears
A zombie life the living dead
I am beginning to understand
where my art stands
My art is ALIVE…
Colors, sounds and moving rhymes
I see how these people cannot see
so few are we that see the life LIVING
not FEEDING material death
MISFITS
Is what we are
That LOVE
and see the STARS
and see the STARS
MISFITS
Are ahead
Are ahead
Of the walking dead
For we will lead the way
to the
GOLDEN AGE.

IRIE UPDATE
I am in the process of finding the best website to post my new songs for purchase. When we artists post through websites that does the work for us often we get paid nothing. The site and website gets all the profits! Rhapsody I have sold quite a bit through CD baby and I received nothing. itunes and some other stores are ok, but with .99 a song, I'm in the 99% of the finances. Lol...So I am looking into websites without the middle man. I've found some good ones, just making a decision.
Also for all the participants in my campaign to give away a free copy of my debut single BLUE MOON LAGOON, I am figuring out the best method to send a FREE copy of the FINAL MASTER and an addition new debut song DRIVIN IN INGLEWOOD to you. I may group message through facebook or add your facebook email to my email newsletter/gig/just wanna say HI, list. :)
Lionrecords music is my new dream to have a more stable income. My goal is to sell music created by the great producers I work with and my own compositions. There are over a billion people in the world so I think if I work hard enough and find the avenues to the market it will be a success. I am a pit bull and won't let go once I want something! I'm building the site now. http://lionrecords-music.com
Check it out.
I'm out for now. Here is a little very silly video I made with my mom. For your entertainment...

Music In the Dark, The Story of Maestro Johnny
Meet producer, Maestro Johnny. Help out Lion Records Haiti/LA and our fund raiser for a generator to keep the music going in Haiti and it's blackouts. Much Thanks
http://www.lacat.biz/
Much has happened since November 2012. We decided to begin Lion Records Haiti/LA. I feel there is a market for Urban, Reggae, Haitian, R&B, Hypnotic music to license, sell as royalty free music and develop our amazing circle of artists we work with in our countries.
You will see Maestro Johnny's studio grew in this video. He has been producing great Haitian music and artists. We have been working on my album. Right when he felt his mixing skills were up to standards for me as an international artist, his generator started malfunctioning. He found out he needed more watts to carry his studio. At the same time electricity had and is getting more complicated in Haiti. The blackouts are more frequent then the available electricity. Johnny said it's gotten down to 3x a week for maybe 3 hours. He traded in his other generator for a more powerful one and is working on collecting the money to purchase his new one. Johnny put one on hold with over half the down payment but they sold it out from under him. They said he took to long, yet won't give him his money back. BUMMER! They have offered him another one with 100 watts more for 50.00 more dollars. So we are asking for all the help we can get. All he needs for this is $170.00. Any extra contributions goes to a much needed AC for his studio, a better vocal environment for our LA studio and costs for creating our album. If anyone can contribute primarily for the generator here is the website you can donate. You will receive a gift for your help.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. One Love and Blessings to you.

Collaborating music with Hurricanes and Sponsors
Mother nature and I have had a relationship with my music from the beginning of writing songs with my guitar. As a teen, I loved singing with the birds and to the sky in my front yard of the house I was raised. It was as though the birds knew their part in the music and would solo loud and then back off when I was singing. This was also true in my adulthood with my pet birds. I now sing a song to the ocean as much as I can in the evening. The song is an English translated song from the Maori Chant. (The Polynesians language from New Zealand). The songs is about letting the day end in peaceful rest to all living beings.
If you read my blog http://lacatmusic.blogspot.com/2012/11/p.html, 'The first song Collaboration Haiti Reggae/Cali Vibe' about Hurricane Isaac flooding out Johnny's (my Haitian collaborating partner) computer, by ripping the roof off his studio, the next question was how was this project going to continue. Knowing there is no possibility to replace the computer, right away, in Haiti, I offered to try to find sponsors to donate toward this project, replacing Johnny's computer with a working one. With a long journey of windy roads from sending emails to Apple and Dell charity dept., to seeing if the motherboard on Johnny's Dell computer could upgrade, we finally met with success! The Apple corp. will not respond unless you have contact in the company. Teri Copland, one of the final sponsors, Tech computer guy, tried to get a donated computer from Dell, because he had a contact in the company, but was also turned down. He also said that the older computer would not accept the newer motherboard. Brandon West, my 'Rappa mon' collaborating partner/beat producer, suggested to go for the Mac Mini. Teri was willing to pitch in half. One night when I was working on finding the remaining sponsors, the retired pathologist, I am currently watching over at night in exchange for staying in a loft in his unit, offered to sponsor for the balance. EEE HAAA! I got the Sponsors! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, Teri Copeland and Don Nevius!!!
So The computer was sent off to New York, to Johnny's Aunt so she can get the computer to him. Well...Guess what came right after she received the shipping. Hurricane Sandy, Frankenstein Storm!!! Without communication, I prayed everything would be fine, being she is located in Coney Island. Five days after the storm I finally got through. In a calm, collective tone, she said all was fine and so was the computer. She had just got her electricity back on, there were no more local stores around but she was good. Haitian people are pretty calm, I must say. I don't know if I'd be so regal.
So, being Mother nature motivated all these changes to take place, I am going to write a special song for you our great mother earth. You have spoken and been very generous in your involvement with our humble project to bring beautiful music to the world.
One Love.

woman, their life, in music
When a woman can say she didn't get raped when forced to have intercourse that is saying that woman was smart, strong and confident. That was me and set a pace for how I saw life being it happened when I was thirteen. The exploitation of females sexuality is a perpetuating drone that hovers in the entertainment industry. It was figured out a long time ago that flesh and sensuality captivates the audience. What about the power behind that and the gestures rather then words that evoke the power of a female verses exploiting her. I say I am a kitty or a panther. Kitties are soft smooth and move gracefully. Panthers are the same except they are wild. Both can bite and have claws. Size does matter here dudes. I like to be the kitty, La Cat as its my power. If disrespected in a flash I will be that panther devouring exploitation in my path and feed it to my cubs. I have no mercy for anything less then the power of the female I possess. I don't want to use men but rather guide them to the divine connection we all belong too. If my sensuality awakens their senses through how I sing, move or speak I want it to be an uplifting experience of higher order in their consciousness. I am interested in their power, how they can utilize it. Not using them or me being used for decadent self serving gratification. I believe this to be my truth in my art. I love humanity deeply and hope for much more respect toward one another. Ladies and gentleman be so to one another as it is the salvation to our existence. One Love

The first song Collaboration Haiti Reggae/Cali Vibe
The first song that is in the process is ‘Believe’. The
lyrics I wrote have a spiritual base. Jah told ii to look for the angel and he
will show ii the heaven is here. Believing in one another, we can create the
heaven on earth. Johnny wrote about the Haitian people and his culture. He sang in English and French about their
spiritual connection, their struggles and reaching out from Haiti, to the world... We Haitians are here... don’t forsake us.
Oddly
enough during the time we were creating this song, hurricane Isaac passed
through Haiti causing more damage to the already devastated country from there
2010 earthquake. When that earthquake hit the world new of their devastation and millions of
dollars were contributed and yet the country had hardly improved there
traumatic conditions. Many people continue living in tents and many buildings
have not been rebuilt. When Isaac hit Johnny’s music studio and his home no longer
had roofs. In my overwhelming concern I was worried about him and his
situation, feeling so helpless to be able to do anything to improve the
conditions. Johnny said everyday is a new day and he goes on. His belief of a
higher force provides and is there for him. I was impressed by his
attitude. This inspired me and I want to perform with Johnny to show audiences
how beautiful this Haitian man is in his strength to overcome high stacks and
obstacles. Listen to song 'BELIEVE'

Collaborating Haitian/Cali Reggae
I have begun an
new adventure. Quite unexpected, I begin a musical collaboration with an
artist in Haiti. I have been journaling the experience.
The story of my Musical collaboration with Haitian musician, Johnny Jean Joseph
I put some of my original songs on soundcloud.com. My song, ‘Asking the Night’ had a comment by another soundcloud.com member, Johnny Jean Joseph, He liked the song. The beat I put on for ‘Survive’ he was feeling. He commented he wanted to be on this beat and if we could do a collaboration. My other music partner, Brandon West made the beat for 'Survive'. Johnny and I begin to correspond about our music, our goals, style and interests as musicians. I was convinced this collaboration would be good by a statement Johnny made about his main goal. He said “ I want the world to hear my music”. It's a tall order but I have always felt the same way. My own musical journey has had many ups and downs and I am still on my goal . Birds of a feather flock together, right? My hard work will and must pay off. It has been much easier to move forward with the technology to write music with computers and having access to let the public hear my original music on the internet. I still perform live but unless it’s a gig where cover songs are involved and performing for corporations, hotels and private parties, if is difficult to get the money deserved for my services. Johnny's goal is simple and to the point. I felt it is good goal to work toward. I agreed to collaborate.
